To be the best-functioning rugby institute (academy) in the country, taking administration, academic elements, recruitment and performance at tertiary-education and national level into account.

Mission

To develop rugby within the framework of the University and student sport as an integral part of student life, and to be an image-builder and recruiting agent for the University through excellence in management, training and performance. This is done to try to make an educational contribution to the rugby player as a whole being so that he can fulfil his role in society (in his rugby and professional life) in a positive way, and to help train the staff (coaches and management) to be a cohesive unit. Furthermore, to deliver players and officials in order to serve rugby in the greater South Africa.
