Mahikeng Campus

Rugby is a full contact sport that originated in England. It is a popular sport across the world, played by men and women of all ages. In 2014, there were more than six million people playing worldwide. In South Africa, rugby has produced global icons, and the Springboks remain a symbol of unity in the country. At the North-West University (NWU) Mahikeng Campus, rugby teams compete in various competitions, including the local league and the USSAs. The women’s team has won the league for the past two years. The men reached the semi-finals and advanced to Pool B at the USSAs.
