The North-West University’s (NWU's) golf programme functions independently from the university itself. We do not offer training/coaching. We encourage students to train and play in their own time. The NWU selects two teams of four players each to compete in the USSA golf tournament, which takes place annually, and good performance there could lead to international opportunities. Teams are selected on the basis of the results of tournaments arranged by the North West Golf Union and GolfRSA.

The NWU has established itself as one of the top-performing golf universities over the last couple of years and offers good competition and the opportunity to meet new people.
